Cleansing face with oil

Face cleansing is one of the most common practice without a second doubt .
We never realize , the impact of harsh chemical based cleansers until we start to age .
With oily acne prone skin , its even worst . I have no other choice .
Cleansers followed by exfoliatores and moisturizer was my thing .
All that time and effort it took was way too much for me .
Now to save my time , money and energy , I have switched to oil cleansing .
This method not only cleans but exfoliates and locks in moisture at the same time .
You must ask me how can oil act as a cleanser and that too for oily acne prone skin ?
Good question ! Here's the answer :
According to acne.org ““Oil dissolves oil. One of the most basic principals of chemistry is that like dissolves like. The best way to dissolve a non-polar solvent like sebum/oil is by using another non-polar solvent similar in composition: other oils. By using the right oils, you can cleanse your pores of dirt and bacteria naturally, gently and effectively, while replacing the dirty oil with beneficial ones extracted from natural botanicals, vegetables and fruit that heal, protect and nourish your skin.”
Remember before Cleansing face with oil
1) The best time to do oil cleansing is at night . Atleast I do it in the night and this does work for me .
2) Oil cleansing even doesn't rip off the moisture from your skin .
3) On the contrary it provides enough moisture to maintain your skin barrier .
4) By doing it at night , skin will get the time to heel and repair too .
5) The only thing I would suggest is to use good quality oil for cleansing ,
6) Like caster oil , olive oil , coconut oil , jojoba oil or even seseme oil is great .
7) You can also use extra virgin olive oil , extra virgin coconut oil for cleansing too .
Cons of cleansing face with oil
As every coin has too sides exactly the same way benifits of any thing also comes at a cost . Below are some of the major issues of oil cleansing
1) You need not to do it daily as this could be too much for your skin
2) Oil cleansing may or may not work for every one
3) In summers its not the best idea to do oil cleansing every day .
4) It can also break you out if the oils don't suit you
5) If you live in hot and humid country this method is not for you , you can only do this to remove your makeup , in general its not gonna suit your skin .
6) It can make you feel a little too sweaty .
7) No matter if its summers or winters once a week is more than enough .
How to do Oil cleansing
Step 1 ) Take a few drops of oil in your palms .
Step 2 ) Rub the oil between your palms .
Step 3 ) Massage the oil onto your face and neck for 5 to 10 mins .
Step 4 ) Take a cloth and wet it either with warm or cold water .
Step 5 ) Wipe your face gently with wet cloth , you'r sorted .
What is facial oil ?
Face oils are specially tailored to work with your natural oils to help keep you skin balanced .
Its a scientific proven fact that our skin produces natural oils through sebeious glands which is known as sebum .
This helps prevent water loss from skin and keeps it hydrated .
There are so many potential benefits of face oil one of them is to act as an extra level of protection for your skin .
In an article by today.com One of dermatologist González said " If you think of the skin as a brick wall, the
skin cells are the bricks and the oils and lipids are the mortar, which holds the bricks together in place and prevents anything
from seeping through. Face oils are considered a type of emollient, which means they help strengthen the outer layer of your
skin — the stratum corneum — by softening and sealing it, preventing water loss,"

ReplyI love oil cleansing! I found that this method works best to remove all of my makeup & is the best for my sensitive skin. I combine my oil cleansing with a non-alcoholic toner so that my skin isn’t too oily afterwards.
ReplyI love a oily face cleanser as a evening ritual when it's cold and my face is getting really dry. I also like to apply a facial oil afterwards. In the summer I can't even think about it!
